United Security Forces of America (USFAIU), Security Guard Union, Union For Security Guards,

The United Security Forces of America, International Union is committed to providing effective representation of the men and women serving as armed security officers through meaningful collective bargaining, grievances and arbitrations, litigation, training and organizing.

Lack of individualized attention from their International Union, lost or reduced rights and/or benefits, and confusion over new laws affecting both employers and employees are regrettably now the rule rather than the exception for hard working security officers across the country. In the midst of this confusion it is more important than ever that security officers have a meaningful and competent voice to advocate their interests, protect their rights and advance their concerns. And now for the first time security officers have a clear choice when it comes to selecting a representative capable of guiding them through these difficult and confusing times – the United Security Forces of America International Union.

The USFA was formed so that security officers would have a real option when it comes to choosing a union. The USFA is uniquely qualified to provide an option unlike any other because the USFA is committed to representing its members in the same manner that employers choose to respond to its employees – through aggressive legal advocacy. This is especially true with employers whose employees have chosen to organize and demand that the employer negotiate with them over their terms and conditions of employment. In such instances employers spare no expense in aggressively advancing their positions in collective bargaining, arbitrations and related legal proceedings. Regrettably all to often, union members and local leadership are left to fend for themselves in these scenarios or are provided with inexperienced and poorly trained international representatives whose primary goal is to “get a contract” rather than advocating and advancing the specific needs and issues of the unit members. While this is unfortunate, it is also patently unfair to dues paying members who have invested their hard earned money to be represented and protected, not ignored and railroaded.

The USFA is committed to correcting these problems and giving union members what they have the right to expect from both their local and international union. To this end the USFA has assembled a leadership team of experienced labor attorneys who have worked a combined 35 years successfully representing employees and unions in contract negotiations, arbitrations, complex labor related litigation and in training local union leadership. In conjunction with this the USFA has adopted a USFA Members’ Bill of Rights, which sets out what members of the USFA can expect to receive from the USFA. The USFA has also adopted a fair dues structure that allows the international and the local unions to have the necessary financial resources to achieve their objectives.

The USFA’s motto is “Stronger Together” which captures both the spirit and the history of successful union representation. This motto is just not a slogan, but an affirmation and commitment to the ideals that make unions work. The USFA International Union, in cooperation with our local unions and dedicated members can make a difference for the better, working together to restore the respect and rights of hard working security officers across the country. So, come join the USFA today and become part of a team that can make a difference for security officers across this great land, bearing in mind that we are “Stronger Together!”
