A shoplifting suspect Jamel Carlos Kingsbury fatally stabbed a security guard Larry Donnell Drumgole in the Burlington Coat Factory store in Woodbridge, Virginia, Saturday before fleeing the scene, according to Prince William County police. Two loss prevention employees at the Burlington Coat Factory at 2700 Potomac Mills Circle confronted Jamel Carlos Kingsbury, 35, who they observed shoplifting inside the store, police said. After the guards confronted Kingsbury when he exited the store, a struggle ensued, and Kingsbury stabbed one of the guards and fled on foot, according to police. The guard who was stabbed, Larry Donnell Drumgole, 44, was taken to a hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries, police said. The second employee involved in the encounter was not injured. Kingsbury is described as a a black man who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds and has black hair and green eyes.

KILLEEN, TEXAS – A security guard working at a Subway sandwich store in Central Texas has been shot and killed. First officers on scene discovered a male victim a security guard with a gunshot wound. The security guard was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition but died later. According to the police statement, the investigation indicates the gunman, a stocky black male about 5 feet 6 inches tall, entered the restaurant wearing a ski mask, a dark gray sweatshirt, black shorts with red and white trim and white tennis shoes. The security guard on duty approached the suspect and spoke to him. During the “verbal altercation,” according to the police statement, the security guard was fatally shot. The security officer was identified as security guard William Petty. Petty was employed by Pro Security Group and was a military veteran. CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A security guard who fatally shot a man in Chesapeake last month appeared in court Friday by video for his arraignment. Johnathan Cromwell is charged with second degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of murder of 60 year old Jiansheng Chen shown above. The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney announced Thursday that the two warrants had been issued for Cromwell, who turned himself in to Virginia Beach Police around 5:20 p.m. that same day.
Chen, driving a blue van, turned into the driveway of the Riverwalk Clubhouse parking area in the 700 block of River Walk Pkwy. at about 11 p.m. on Jan. 26, according to the news release. When Cromwell stopped his vehicle directly in front of Chen’s van, Chen backed up and turned around. He was at the entrance of the driveway facing the street, according to the release.
Cromwell exited his car and said “stop” before he fired, the release said. Chen was shot five times: four times in the upper left chest and once in the upper left arm. Chen, 60, died at the scene.

Henderson jewelry store clerk killed by security guard’s gunshot- HENDERSON, Nev. — Surveillance video has been released today by Henderson Police in relation to an attempted robbery and death of an employee at a Jared the Galleria of Jewelry on Saturday night. The victim was identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as 57-year-old Kimberlee Ann Kincaid-Hill of Henderson. Her official cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest and the manner was ruled a homicide.
The suspect is described as an adult black male, 5-foot-6 to 5-10, 140 to 150 pounds, last seen wearing a red and black hoodie sweat shirt, black pants, a black mask and a dark-colored hat or beanie. The suspect also had a dark-colored backpack or bag.

About 3:50 p.m. today, an armed man entered the bank and fired his gun at the ceiling and then at the security guard, according to a police news release. The security guard returned fire, hitting the suspect.No customers were inside the bank, and no employees were injured, the news release states.
Rockford Police say the suspect killed in Friday afternoon’s Alpine bank robbery was 34-year-old Laurence Turner of Rockford.
