WTC Security Guard 9/11

Security guards at 9/11 Memorial STOP a school choir from singing the Star-Spangled Banner

WMS chorus singing @ Twin Towers Memorial. They stopped them half the way thru. You can’t sing the National Anthem. So sad this is happening everywhere. They sounded great. God Bless America!

Connie Shepherd Scanlon I wanted to clarify this. When I first posted this I didn’t have all the information. Apparently you need a permit, their Choral director would have NEVER let them sing if she had known. She asked permission from a security guard and he said yes. Their guide told them another school sang a couple of weeks before without a permit. This a great group of kids representing their school and the future of our country. It’s amazing of the response from everyone. I personally think it could have been handled differently. Thank you Waynesville Middle School Chorus and Martha Brown for displaying such grace and respect for the rules.
