A ‘bored’ security guard allegedly drew eyes on a painting of faceless figures with a ballpoint pen on his first day at work.
The painting called ‘Three Figures’ (1932-1934) from the Tretyakov Gallery collection featured three faceless figures. The piece was on display at a gallery in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The guard, who was employed by a private company, used a museum-branded pen on the painting, which is valued at $1 million.
