Apparently you need a permit, their Choral director would have NEVER let them sing if she had known. She asked permission from a security guard and he said yes. Their guide told them another school sang a couple of weeks before without a permit. This a great group of kids representing their school and the future of our country. It’s amazing of the response from everyone. I personally think it could have been handled differently. Thank you Waynesville Middle School Chorus and Martha Brown for displaying such grace and respect for the rules.

An on-duty security guard who works at the World Trade Center site is accused of stabbing a man at a nearby McDonald’s. Police say they responded to the restaurant on Broadway near Liberty Street just after 3:30 a.m. Investigators say the 55-year-old guard, Saul Puente, and the 20-year-old man got into a physical dispute inside the McDonald’s. The security guard allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed the victim in the chest and face before running away. Officials found the guard a few blocks away at Church Street. They say he’s employed by Port Authority contractor, Allied Barton Security Services.

The 55-year-old guard was on duty and in uniform at the restaurant on his meal break when a 20-year-old man suddenly put a French fry on the guard’s head, 1010 WINS’ Carol D’Auria reported.
The guard was heard saying, “What’s your problem?” That’s when police said the man began throwing his fries at the guard.
They then took the argument outside where police said the guard pulled a knife, stabbed the 20-year-old victim in the chest and slashed him in the face.
