WICHITA, Kan. – A security guard at a local hospital was threatened by a man who tried to take his pistol from him early Saturday morning.
WICHITA, Kan. – A security guard at a local hospital was threatened by a man who tried to take his pistol from him early Saturday morning.
report the 47-year-old Wesley Medical Center guard was inside the hospital dealing with a disturbance when a 57-year-old man allegedly told him he was going to take the guard’s sidearm. The incident happened about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the man and the guard began to struggle, but the guard was able to keep his weapon during the incident. The suspect was taken into custody and was arrested for aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer since the guard was considered a law enforcement officer at the time.
No one was injured in the incident.

Yes, thier security is joke as with most police forces that don’t employ former military members only. I seen fat boy with a toy badge on that had to roll from a chair to get out of it. His weapon was poorly secured. He was not ready for a punch to the throat, when he trusted me enough, a total stranger, to button his pocket on his shirt. One punch to his tracheal area woulkd have dropped him and made weapon’s retrieval easy.
