UPDATE: Man charged in shooting death of Georgia Walmart security guard

Lilburn police said in a statement Tuesday that 37-year-old Boaz Anthony Fordyce is charged with murder, aggravated assault and theft by shoplifting in the death of 25-year-old Jaseramie Dion “JD” Ferguson shown below.

Affectionately known as JD by those who knew him, Jaseramie Ferguson was taken from his family and friends while stopping a shoplifter at Walmart.  He left behind his beautiful wife, Tiana, his son, Jordan, his daughter, Aryana, and their newest addition, Ava.

This account has been set up to assist JD’s family with current and unexpected financial needs during this trying time of great loss. Not only have the Fergusons lost a husband and a father because of this great tragedy, but the sole provider for their family.
