A 16-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of an on-duty security guard inside a grocery store. Nature Maurice Williams was arrested without incident around 4 p.m. Tuesday at his Greensboro home, Greensboro police said. A bond for Williams, who goes to Eastern Guilford High School, hadn’t been determined as of Tuesday evening. Anthony Smith, 51, of Winston-Salem, died at the hospital after being found shot around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Food Lion at 2316 E. Market St. Smith was on-duty at the time of the shooting and worked for a third-party company.
